FRATER, William (Jock):  (born  Linlithgow Scotland 1890, arr Aust 1910; d
Melb 1974) Painter. Studied Glasgow School of Art. 1905-1913. London and
Paris. Studied in Aust with Arnold Shore and George Bell in Melbourne.
Member Victorian Artists Society, Responsible for the Modern Movement
influence of many artists' work today Represented in National Gallery
Victoria, Australian National Gallery,Canberra, most State and Regionial
Galleries, and many corporate and private collections.
