Gwen Barringer, (1882-1960), was born in Adelaide in 1882. She studied at
the South Australian School of Design under H.P. Gill, Archibald Collins and
Hans Heysen. A member of the Royal South Australian Society of Arts for many
years, she is best known for her Paintings of Landscapes, and Still Life.
Her works are represented in State Gallery Collections, and in Private
Collections overseas. She died in 1960.
